Actor and recording artist TC Carson (Kyle Barker of the hit television show Living Single) performs Negro Spirituals and contemporary gospels in "From Slavery to Freedom". Carson also narrates this 1:45 performance that includes Songs of The Spirit, the Spoken Word by Truth B. Told, Lance Newman, NSaychable, Sparkluv, Shenika Brown and James Jackson as Pastor Peter Durrett. Tributes to Harriett Tubman and Phillis Wheatley performed by Erika Mucker, Shelby Livers, Sherri Dickerson, Spike Davis, Gary Williams and Jibriyll Izsrael.
