| Sunday, November 8th at 4pm - Please join us for a night of poetry in celebration of recently published books by LSU Press poets Constance Merritt of Louisville and Taije Silverman of Philadelphia. Silverman's debut collection Houses are Fields chronicles her family's devotion and dissolution through the death of her mother, and explores the ways in which memory at once sustains and fails love. Two Rooms, Merritt's third collection of poems, relies on music and metaphor and examines the conflicting claims of life and art, cultural heritage and cultural affinities, through the erotic and creative imagination.
